Today is day 4 of a season of recreating my body image. With so many things going on in life, school, work, kids, mr., etc... I skipped workouts and trust me when I say I am not happy about it. So as I realign my focus on what I need to prioritize in this season, working out is at the top of the list. My body is sore but I feel great. Just knowing that I am working to get back to my normal size as well as knowing what the result will be is keeping me inspired. I have a some major projects that I will be working on over the next few months but no matter what else is going on working out atleast 6 out of 7 days a week is a must. Sharing love with someone, enjoying life with your family and just working on other goals can through you off track if exercise is not a part of your daily habits. So I have to put in some really hard work for a little while physically to get back to my norm and after that I just have to keep focus on maintenance. Stay tuned as the more fit fabulous and focused me evolves....

This is a new blog with a new look for the new explorations in my life. So as I change this blog may change but I'm looking forward to re-inventing me.

I simply must honor this great legend. There are not enough words to say about this man. No matter how eccletic his lifestyle, he always embodied who he felt he was. He gave us so much great music and it's such a shame that our kids and don't have someone of his stature to show them the wonders of a true performer. R.I.P Michael Joseph Jackson! There will never be another like you!

My College Student

Jun24
I really must take a minute to stop and express how proud I am of my oldest daughter Diamond. Time as gone by so fast, she has come so far from when she was a baby and I was reading her bed time stories. She is now a college student headed into her junior year of college as well as working in the financial aid office. She is very focused and on a mission to get ahead.

I am very proud of both my daughters and I truly enjoy the process of being as asset to them as they continue to grow.

Sometimes, you just have to stop and be grateful for all of the many things in life. In this very moment I just feel so very grateful for my kids, they keep me grounded and continuing to strive for my dreams.

My Commandments

As previously mentioned I have compiled a list of commandments that will govern over my personal journey at this point in life. The project that inspired this idea suggested 12, these are  mine.

  1. Let Go
  2. Lighten Up
  3. Love
  4. Do It Now
  5. Be Fearless
  6. Don't Over Analyze
  7. Meditate and Make Affirmations
  8. Enjoy The Process
  9. Slow Down
  10. Your Thoughts Create Your Destiny
  11. Be Who You Are
  12. Be Patient

I was blessed to introduce the world to my second born...Deja! So many things have passed the toddler years, loosing her first tooth, the first day of school, first dance recitals, etc. So much more to look forward to. As she looks forward to her year of being 14 she will enter into her "First year of High School". Happy Birthday to my baby, Deja!!!

The Journey!

Jun16

Since the beginning of the year I have been working on moving towards my purpose in life and becoming the woman that I desire to be. Going through this process can be very intense because before you can catapult yourself forward you have to really take a look at yourself and be completely transparent. In being transparent you have to understand your flaws and your strengths.  This will often ignite all types of feelings because when you think of your flaws and strengths you often recall moments in life that are associated with them and it can be a real roller coaster ride of emotions. In doing this you will also take stock of the things you need to eliminate from your life or simply minimize, this could be friends, family, jobs, etc.- a process that is often difficult because of fears, comfort levels and conveniences. During this process I never stop moving forward but now that I have completed the process I feel like I can move forward with more conviction. As an avid reader, of course I indulged in various books, website, etc to keep my thoughts positive and stay on course with my the major task of designing a plan. Of course this plan will be adjusted as I go along but it will at least be a gage as I continue my journey in life and make foot prints along the way.

A few things that I am using to assist with this journey are:

 The Happiness Project: 12 Commandments

 A Vision Board

Personal Growth Map 30 Day Challenges

As I complete each of these items, I will blog about them and share the growth of my journey along the way.

Sometimes you need a push

Jun15
It's not easy being an introvert because when you are in a funk it requires so much more self motivation to come out of it. I'm pushing forward in some areas of life and feel like I'm taking steps back in others. Life is enjoyable but definitely not easy. I'm praying to get pass this soon.

The Joy of Life

There are so many joys in life but one of the greatest joys is being a mom. My youngest daughter is moving forward in life, she graduated from middle school yesterday and is looking forward to her high school years. Life is great!!!
